OAKLAND — Surveillance cameras, two dogs and a wrought-iron fence may have made some suspected marijuana growers think they were safe from thieves. But the measures did not stop Oakland police from raiding their Park Boulevard house Wednesday, seizing 401 marijuana plants and two pounds of packaged product with a total estimated street value of about $200,000, authorities said Thursday. Besides the marijuana, police also seized a pistol and shotgun, scales and $800 in cash. Lawson told police he was authorized to have marijuana for medical purposes but could not produce proper documentation. Police said they did not find any smoking materials in the house.
