Physicians Across Nebraska Are Now Able to Connect to and Exchange
Electronic Medical Record (EMR) Information
SAN JOSE, Calif. OMAHA, Neb. — NeHII, the Nebraska Health Information Initiative, a statewide Health
Information Exchange (HIE) designed to share clinical and administrative
data among providers in Nebraska, today announced its successful
expansion to Central Nebraska. The physicians and medical staff of Mary
Lanning Memorial Hospital, serving the city of Hastings, are able to
communicate electronically and exchange patient information with other
hospitals and physicians throughout the state.
Using Axolotl’s Elysium Exchange platform, provided by NeHII,
physicians, their staff and other medical providers communicate
electronically and exchange clinical information seamlessly and
naturally across disparate EMRs. Referrals, laboratory results,
radiology reports and other patient data is immediately and securely
available in existing EMRs or in Axolotl’s Elysium EMR, a SaaS based
solution for small practices. The state wide Elysium Virtual Health
Record (VHR) provides authorized physicians with direct access to all
available patient data, at the point of care, improving the quality of
health care among the state’s residents while helping to control the
escalating cost of health care in Nebraska and the U.S.
NeHII securely and instantly connects Nebraska hospitals, labs,
physicians, pharmacies, and clinics in serving approximately 1,521,268
patient lives.
Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital has developed a consumer education and
marketing campaign, and is spreading the word around Hastings and the
surrounding communities that patients at Mary Lanning Memorial Hospital
will now benefit from their physicians having the most current clinical
information possible — with a single click.
