Toney Freeman has revamped his guns to assault the stage in 2010 While many eager iron warriors sift through the bowels of the Internet in an effort to take their game to the next level (or, even worse, apply lessons from the guy in the corner wearing a bandana and knee wraps, and using crappy form), Toney Freeman stands behind his proven method for progress: listen to your gut. Freemans reliance on research for development–a trial-and-error system when it comes to sets, reps and using advanced techniques–has helped The X-Man emerge as one of the sports most prominent powerhouses. Its his insistence on discovering the next big breakthrough that led him to victory in the last pro show of 2009–the Sacramento Pro–and what has created a tidal wave of momentum in 2010. “Ive been training for 22 years, and for 20 years, I did curls incorrectly. People ask me what I do for my arms and I tell them, I train them correctly. For instance, full supination–starting with your palms facing to the rear–nobody does that. I do it now, and my arms are completely different than they were two years ago.”
ANAHEIM, Calif. — VAWT
Systems, LLC, has invented, engineered, and begun producing a
revolutionary line of Axial Flux Permanent Magnet Generators (PMG’s)
specifically designed for the Renewable Energy market. The Polar
Wind Generator (PWG) series is unlike conventional PMG’s or
PMA’s (Permanent Magnet Alternators), these generators are built for the
highest performance at the lowest possible RPM’s (Revolutions per
Minute). These have been developed to produce useable power at speeds
lower than 70 RPM and full Rated Power at 400 RPM.

The VAWT Systems 1 kiloWatt (kW) PWG-1 is available in two
configurations. A low voltage model (PWG-1-LV) for battery charging and
a high voltage model (PWG-1-HV) for connecting directly to a grid-tied
A.C. inverter system. These generators are perfectly suited to Vertical
Axis Wind Turbines (VAWT’s) as they operate at much lower RPM’s than
traditional Horizontal Axis Wind Turbines (HAWT’s) but also allows
HAWT’s to operate at lower wind speeds. The PWG-1 is also well suited
for other renewable rotational energy sources such as water (hydro) or
“wave” power or people powered (bicycles and exercise equipment).

Based in Anaheim, California, VAWT Systems has the resources and
facilities to provide research and development, manufacturing,
distribution, sales, support and training for its dealer, distribution
and direct sales network.

Using state-of-the-art NdFeB (Neodymium Iron Boron) magnets, VAWT
Systems’ PWG-1 is a 1.2 kW axial flux permanent magnet generator capable
of producing usable power to the electrical grid (with optional grid-tie
inverter) at very low RPM’s and will allow operation at wind speeds
below 15 mph where most wind turbine generators fall short.
